Facing real life challenges and trying to make ends-meet, he was expelled from school due to being tardy and missing classes. Markell then turned his attention to "the streets" and began selling drugs. His decision would eventually lead to violent events and incarceration. After going to prison twice and serving a total of three years behind bars, he knew that it was time to make a change.
